Just when you weren't looking

The third, and probably my favorite installment of Steamship. I totally want to make Specs's costume for myself.

Specs probably went through the most changes, as that infamous wig and the spectacles are notably missing. She actually does have a set of normal spectacles to wear when she's not wearing the goggles, but they're mostly for reading and such, not all-the-time-use. In my headcanon, she's the navigational officer and mechanic of the ship, so she's mostly got her head stuck in some machinery, and she doesn't notice the dorky albeit adorable boy eyeing her when he's supposed to be on duty. I decided that, not being a soldier, Specs is more used to many layers of civilian clothes than the minimal clothes the rangers wear in order to move freely, and so her costume is a bit more accurate to traditional Victorian clothing--full underclothes, a bustle, etc.

Krayonder, however, got the same simplistic treatment as his fellow rangers; I imagine in post-Robot War times there aren't many uniforms to go around, and so some rangers have to simply wear things from home. That ascot and newsboy cap is enough to make me swoon, let me tell you.
